    In the name of Leo, Beyoncé and André 3000 linked up to cover Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black”, and tonight Mark Ronson premiered the result of their efforts during his East Village Radio program (fun fact: Ronson co-wrote the song with Winehouse). It’s an intriguing take on the sultry number, featuring a soft pulse of dub underneath the syrupy sing-talk of André and breathy croon ala Marilyn Monroe/Betty Boop from Queen B.     The cover appears on the soundtrack to The Great Gatsby alongside original compositions from Florence and the Machine (“Over the Love”), The xx (“Together”), and Jay-Z (“100$ Bill”), and a Bryan Ferry cover of Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love”.


    Beginning May 7th, the soundtrack will be available digitally and as a 17-track deluxe edition exclusively at Target. A 14-track physical version will also be available at Starbucks in the U.S. and Canada, and widely, both physically and digitally, at various retailers.     The Great Gatsby is directed by Baz Luhrmann, stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Isla Fisher, and Tobey Maguire, and is set to hit theaters on May 10th.
