Anton Corbijn has spilled the beans on his upcoming collaboration with Arcade Fire. The renowned director, who previously helmed videos for Nirvana, Coldplay, and U2, as well as feature length films such as Control and The American, confirmed to The Daily Beast that he directed the video for Arcade Fire’s new single, “Reflektor”, which will premiere on Monday, September 9th.

“I’m working on a really great song at the moment: Arcade Fire’s new single,” Corbijn said. “The song is called ‘Reflektor,’ and you’ll be able to see it Monday evening…. I can’t say much more than that, because it’s all a surprise,” before adding, “You’ll have to watch the TV Monday evening.” The TV, eh?

In related news, ArcadeFireTube is reporting that “Reflektor” will be released on 12″ vinyl at record stores around the world on the 9th. So if you’d rather have your first spin be via a turntable, there’s your chance.
