Someone built a ginormous Lego stadium, and it’ll blow your mind

I have a nephew who is a whiz with Legos. He can build anything: a train, motorcycles, small villages, and this one time, something that looked liked a duck-plane hybrid. Mario Fabrio makes things with legos, too, only his creations involve 13 gazillion pieces and probably deserve to be displayed at the Louvre.

Posted on the Lego fan site MOCpages (yes, that’s a real thing), Fabrio’s painstakingly-detailed creation includes every conceivable component of an actual 20,000+ stadium. There’s the backstage area with semi-trucks and ambulances; throngs of workers that set up various rigs; sound techs with seemingly more computer power than NASA; and even a red carpet for those particularly pretentious Lego rockers.

Of course, all that pales in comparison to the depths Fabrio went in assembling the stage itself. Along with video screens, rows of speakers, and a really happy synth player, there’s an underground tunnel with hydraulic platforms that opens up to the stage, a huge light display, and a rotating platform to bring the drummer to center-stage. Not even U2 on the “Zoo TV” tour had a set-up like this bad boy.
