Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme and Dean Ferita recently sat down with two 7th graders, Connie and Olivia, for the latest installment of the hard-hitting music journalism series “Kids Interview Bands”. Together, they discuss American politics, German philosophy, and Quantum Mechanics.
Just kidding. The 12-year-old hosts — who have conducted interviews with the likes of The Smashing Pumpkins, Tegan and Sara, and Ellie Goulding — asked Homme and Ferita about the Muppets, Halloween costumes, and sports. Homme, especially, is personable and fun, engaging in real cozy kiddie humor and even reveals some secrets. Who knew he loved Celine Dion so damn much? Or, that he could cook up a mean Chicken Cordon Bleu? He sorta flips the kids off at one point…but hey, he’s funny and journalism’s a tough business, ya know. Watch the charming bit below.
