Though they don’t quite inhabit the same musical spheres, weirdly enough both Pharrell Williams and prolific composer Hans Zimmer have crossed paths and collaborated on more than one occasion: there was the original music for 2010’s Despicable Me, the 84th Academy Awards, and this year’s epic Man of Steel drum-athon. Now, as revealed in a recent Billboard interview, it seems the two have linked up yet again to score the forthcoming film, The Amazing Spiderman 2.

In the interview, Williams was asked what he’s been working on and what fans can expect from him in the coming months, to which he responded:

Ed Sheeran. Usher. I’m going back in with T.I. Beyonce. Jennifer Hudson. Nelly has this really big record named “Rick James.” That’s my jam. Hans Zimmer and I are scoring “The Amazing Spiderman 2.” The “Happy” video, it just feels like people—good people that all remember that we are entitled to smile. I’m very excited about that.

And just last week, Williams wrote on his Facebook:

Hans Zimmer is like the king of all kings. I carry his books, sharpen his pencils, get his coffee, and I listen to every punctuation that comes out of his mouth. He is a genius.”

The Amazing Spiderman 2 is due out in theaters next May.
