Because when you’re Tilda Swinton, not only do you celebrate your 53rd birthday at NYC’s Museum of Modern Art, but you invite the biggest pop stars of past and present. That’s how Lorde wound up sandwiched between Swinton and David Bowie, and this picture subsequently found its way to Facebook. Seriously though, does this not look like a pair of proud parents posing with their Gothic teenage? Total family Christmas card material right there, folks.
On a side note: yesterday was also Lorde’s 17th birthday. So, yeah.
