Experimental Icelandic pop collective Múm receive a surprisingly clubby rework from fellow countryman Jónsi. One might think the Sigur Rós frontman would turn Múm’s “When Girls Collide” from a sunny little electro-pop tune into some sweeping, majestic soundscape a la Valtari or Kveikur — but he does the exact opposite. His remix, infused with heart-beating-out-of-your-chest pulses, is flipped into the perfect euphoric dance track fit for Reykjavik nightclubs and beyond. Check it out below (via Stereogum):
“When Worlds Collide” is off Múm’s latest record, Smilewound.
