On February 4th, Freddie Gibbs and Madlib will release their collaborative album titled Piñata, said to feature Raekwon, Danny Brown, Earl Sweatshirt, Joey Bada$$, Ab Soul, and more. In the interim, though, Gibbs has released a pair of solo cuts. First came the biting, Young Chop-produced “Deuces” and its equally brutal Tyson vs. Holyfield music video. Now, he’s back with “Thug Till It’s Over”, produced by Spanish duo Cookin’ Soul. While its title may suggest otherwise, it’s a lush and lounge-y track, showcasing a more soulful, low-key side to the Indiana emcee. Listen in below.
