The New Year’s Eve concert calendar includes The Flaming Lips, who will ring in the New Year at Aspen, Colorado’s Belly Up. And not surprisingly, it looks like the band has a few surprises in the works.
As Future Heart points out, the Lips have been rehearsing a set of John Lennon and The Beatles-inspired covers, including “Tomorrow Never Knows”, ”Come Together”, “Everybody’s Got Something To Hide Except for Me and My Monkey”, “Across the Universe”, and “Dear Prudence”. Wayne Coyne has already previewed several of these covers on Instagram, and now he’s shared a full-length recording of the band’s take on “Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds”. Listen below.
