During a recent stop at BBC’s Live Lounge, the Dirty Gold emcee and singer pulled out an exceptional cover of the single, where she not only nailed Beyoncé’s high notes, but substituted Jay Z’s less-than-exquisite verses with her own scorching words of empowerment and braggadocio. For such a talented, jack-of-all-trades artist — who previously showcased her wide skill set on renditions of “Wrecking Ball” and “Black Skinhead” — the boasting seems well-deserved.
