The late Detroit proto-punk trio Death will receive another release from Drag City. Following 2009’s reissue of their lost 1976 album, …For the Whole World to See, and 2011’s Spiritual, Mental, Physical, comes Death III, a nine-track collection of archived tracks recorded in 1975, 1976, 1980, and 1992.

The recordings feature David Hackney, who passed away from lung cancer in 2000, and opens with a guitar improvisation of his, aptly titled, “Introduction by David”. For a quick glimpse at what to expect, check out “North Street” below. The track and 1990 cut “We’re Gonna Make It” will come bundled as a 7-inch on February 18th. The album itself follows on April 22nd.
