Another new week, another new installment of Big Boi’s ongoing #MashupMonday series.
Previously, classic rock proved an interesting fit for Big Boi on the Blue Öyster Cult-aided “GossipZilla”. Now, his Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors single “Shoes For Running”, originally featuring Wavves and B.o.B., receives a reggae update courtesy of Third World’s classic “How Can You”. The mashup, re-dubbed “RUN TH3 WORLD”, may seem like the clashing of two very different worlds, but producer Dungeoneze weaves together a surprisingly cohesive and even swaggering piece of work.
