Last month, Dean Wareham unveiled “Holding Pattern”, the first single off his upcoming self-titled debut solo album. Today, the former Galaxie 500 frontman returns with the LP’s opening track “The Dancer Disappears”.

It’s a dreamy, atmospheric song, filled to the brim with twinkling guitars and Wareham’s yearning, nostalgia-inducing croon. Watch the accompanying video below, which features grainy archival footage of a starry night and well-dressed partygoers.

Dean Wareham arrives March 11th via Double Feature Records. In support, he’ll be on tour in the US this April.
