The collaborative album from ambient icon Brian Eno and Underworld member Karl HydeSomeday World, is due May 6th on Warp. Today, the duo have shared the first single from the record, “The Satellites”. As you’d expect, it’s an impressive composition that blends together the best elements of Eno and Underworld. In this case: alto sax and synth forge an otherworldly dance song.

In addition to Eno and Hyde, the track features Someday World’s 22-year-old producer Fred Gibson (piano, drums, bass, and backing vocals… guy’s busy), non-album producer John Reynolds on drums, Georgia Gibson on a trio of saxes, and Roxy Music’s Andy Mackay on alto sax. Eno’s daughter Darla also contributes, credited as providing the song’s “Ooh”. Taken a listen below.

Other guest on the new record include Coldplay’s Will Champion and his wife Marianne, Don E, Tessa Angus, Nell Catchpole, and more. Check out the full tracklist ahead.
