Justin Paul Vallesteros’ indie pop project Craft Spells are returning with their sophomore album Nausea, which is due out June 10th via Captured Tracks. The follow-up to 2011’s Idle Labor marks the band’s first release since 2012’s Gallery EP.
The group has also shared “Breaking The Angle Against The Tide”, the lead single off the upcoming effort. A dreamy and lush composition, the song finds Vallesteros channeling his fellow label-mates Wild Nothing and Beach Fossils with similar bright synths and reverb-soaked guitars. When the strings kick in midway through the track, it’s one of Craft Spells’ most sublime moments yet. Listen in below.
