Rising Arkansas five-piece Pagiins have been steadily making a name for themselves, building on the strength of their EPs, Good Things Take Time and Bad Things Don’t. Both potent doses of crunchy, ramshackle garage rock, the releases have catapulted the group into the same fuzzy stratosphere of like-minded acts Ty Segall and Thee Oh Sees. It doesn’t hurt that their name sounds pretty badass, too.

“When we came up with our name, we wanted it to evoke a certain image in your head,” said frontman Leif Hinshaw in a press release. “Specifically Nicholas Cage getting his face torn apart by bees.”

While it’s not quite gruesome Wicker Man material, today the band have unveiled a scruffy new song called “Yeti Spaghetti”. The first track off their forthcoming debut LP, it’s playfully loud, messy, and feverish and stuffed with hairy riffs and crackling drums. Check it out below.
