As is often the case, Jack White is currently working on several projects, including his sophomore solo LP, new music with The Dead Weather, and a collaborative release with Neil Young. Where’s that leave White’s other band, The Raconteurs? “Off the table,” according to singer Brendan Benson.
In an interview with Billboard, Benson said the band has no upcoming plans, adding, “It always felt spontaneous. I liked that about it, too. And I think it remains that way. We never planned anything. We never planned a breakup. All of us but one live in the same town, so [in the future] it could very well happen… or not.”
The Racontuers last played together in November 2011, though Benson and White teamed up for a benefit concert last December. Below, watch footage of the band playing at Bonnaroo in 2008.
