Last June, 2 Chainz was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport after TSA agents found him in possession of codeine. Now, TMZ reports that the rapper has been formally charged with felony drug possession and faces up to three years in prison. He’s scheduled to be arraigned next week.
2 Chainz has had his share of legal troubles in the past. At age of of 15, he was convicted of felony cocaine possession and in February 2013, he was arrested for marijuana possession. In August 2013, police in Oklahoma City searched his tour bus and discovered two semi-automatic pistols and a 12-gauge pump shotgun, along with some prescription painkillers and marijuana residue. He was later charged with a misdemeanor obstruction of justice.
