Atlanta fuzz-pop outfit Gold-Bears are set to release the follow-up to their 2011 debut, Are You Falling in Love. Due out June 3rd via Slumberland, they dubbed the record Dalliance, which is defined by Google as “a casual romantic or sexual relationship.” In a way, that’s exactly what the album’s punk-pop/emo-infused new single “For You” feels like.

The screeching charge of guitars careens forward, like your heart (or loins) pulling you towards something that could be equal parts joy or devastation. Thumping drums and a beating bass line mimic the blood pounding through your veins as you approach the tender moments of that “casual” fling, bells and keys surrounded by swelling instrumentation. At the end, you’re not sure if you’re thrilled to have had the connection at all or just completely heartbroken. Or maybe both. Take a listen below.
