And just like that, Outkast’s back in our lives. Last night, André 3000 and Big Boi hit the Coachella Stage at exactly 11:30 p.m. PST with a set that spanned 27 songs and featured guest appearances from Janelle Monáe, Future, Sleepy Brown, and a cameo tease by Killer Mike. It marked their first performance together in nearly a decade.
Opening with an explosive rendition of “B.O.B.”, the ATL duo kept the pace up with fan favorites like “Gasoline Dreams”, “ATLiens”, and “Rosa Parks” alongside deeper cuts a la “Skew It on the Bar-B” and “SpottieOttieDopaliscious”. Shortly after, the spotlight swung between Big Boi and André 3000, who dabbled with their own respective material off Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. Big Boi even sweat through a performance of “Shutterbugg” off 2010’s Sir Lucious Left Foot… The Son of Chico Dusty<.

Of course, they weren’t without a few familiar faces. Sleepy Brown assisted on four songs (“SpottieOttieDopaliscious”, “Bowtie”, “So Fresh, So Clean”, “The Way You Move”), Janelle Monáe dusted off “Tightrope”, while Dungeon Family member Future shined off three songs, including the premiere of the André 3000-assisted “Benz Friends (Whatchutola)”. By the night’s end, and following legitimate set closer “Hey Ya!”, Killer Mike arrived to the sounds of “The Whole World”… only they were cut off by Coachella.
“We’ll see you next weekend,” André said, apologizing to the crowd. It’s likely he received a high-five off-stage from Prince, one of his “idols”, who he acknowledged was watching backtage during “Vibrate”. Feeling left out? Catch all the action below and consult the setlist shortly after.
