Who’s the Greatest Drummer of All Time? You Suggest!

Is it Keith Moon? John Bonham? Jimmy Chamberlin?

Last year, we asked you to name the most evil musicians of all time. This time around, however, we’re avoiding the macabre for something a little more upbeat — literally. We want to finally settle the debate over here by asking you, “Who’s the greatest drummer of all time?” Some of us are partial to The Police’s Stewart Copeland, a few have argued for R.E.M.’s Bill Berry, while others even recommended Ringo Starr. They’ve since been drawn, quartered, and instructed to listen to every album by Rush, The Who, Led Zeppelin, and so on.

While they’re listening, and before we get this battle royale off and running, we thought we’d take some suggestions from you first. So, please take a moment and tell us three drummers you truly think are worthy of the top tier. They can be anyone as young as Cloud Nothings’ Jayson Gerycz to someone who’s left us like Mitch Mitchell. Think it over, revisit “Moby Dick”, and fill in the spots below. Just make sure you spell the full first and last name correctly.

Come next Monday, we’ll host the first round of what will be the loudest, most brash tourney to date. Fills, thrills, and chills, people.
