Tasked with finding a replacement for Stephen Colbert, Comedy Central has decided to keep it in the family. The Daily Show correspondent Larry Wilmore will take over the 11:30pm slot beginning in January 2015. The name of his program? The Minority Report.

According to a press release: “Continuing in Comedy Central’s tradition of producing groundbreaking late night formats, The Minority Report with Larry Wilmore will provide viewers with a distinct point of view and comedic take on the day’s news from a perspective largely missing in the current late night landscape. Hosted by Larry Wilmore, the series will feature a diverse panel of voices currently underrepresented in comedy and television”

Wilmore, 52, joined The Daily Show in 2006. Prior to that, he served as co-creator and producer of The Bernie Mac Show. He also wrote and produced for The Office, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and The Jamie Foxx Show.
