Austin, TX-based singer-songwriter Jess Williamson premiered her beautiful and glimmering brand of heartfelt folk with her debut album, Native State, which was released earlier this year. Now, she has unveiled another lush but brooding song called “Snake Song”.
The song highlights Williamson’s aching croon. Strained but sturdy, she coos over her warm electric guitar tones, faint organs, and subdued drum patterns. It’s not as minimal as some of the spare compositions from Native State, but it’s just as gorgeous. Listen in below (via Pitchfork).
“Snake Song” will be on a split 7-inch b/w RF Shannon’s “How the Moon Knew the Night”. It’s out June 17th via Punctum Records.
