    Kobe Bryant was a man of his wordCarter V Season is indeed upon us. Tonight, Lil Wayne has revealed his new single, “Believe Me”, the apparent first track from his new album. The methodical, psychedelic rap song features a guest appearance from frequent collaborator and lint roller enthusiast Drake, in addition to production from Boi-1da and Vinylz.

    Drake handles the first verse, expressing his appreciation for his longtime mentor: “That’s the man that put me in this shit / If a nigaa fuck wit’ ‘em I put ‘em down quick / Got a verse for anybody who wanna talk about the clique.” Meanwhile, Weezy rightfully defends his place in hip-hop history: “I’m the only one that get the job done / I don’t know a nigga that can cover for me.” Listen in below.

    It was previously reported that Lil Wayne would drop Tha Carter Vpossibly his final album ever — on May 5th, perhaps as a surprise release a la Beyonce. There’s nothing new on that front, but keep an eye out nonetheless.
