On June 17th, Copenhagen-based punk outfit Lower will release their debut record Seek Warmer Climes via Matador. Spanning 10 tracks, the forthcoming effort promises to “channel the romance and drama of great singer-songwriters, from late-period Scott Walker to Bryan Ferry.”

In anticipation of the LP, the Danish quartet shared a number of its tracks, including “Lost Weight, Perfect Skin”, “Another Life” and “Bastard Tactics”. Today, they reveal one more single, entitled “Soft Option”. On this song, frontman Adrian Toubro tersely sings, “and when I hold out my hand, you leave it there, untouched.” Despite the unrequited affection, the song still soars with screeching guitars and romantic, post-punk sensibilities.
