10 years ago today: Phish and Jay Z perform together in Brooklyn

    One of music’s more random on-stage moments occurred 10 years ago today. During their performance at Brooklyn’s KeySpan Park (now known as MCU Park), jam-band titans Phish invited hometown hero Jay Z to the stage for improvised renditions of “99 Problems” and “Big Pimpin'”. It proved to be a crucial first step in an eventual intergenre marriage, which fostered the rise of Sublime with Rome and Slightly Stoopid.
