Earlier this week, we learned of the cast for the forthcoming N.W.A. biopic: joining O’Shea Jackson Jr. (who will be playing his father Ice Cube) are Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell, who’ve been cast as Dr. Dre and Eazy-E, respectively. An earlier report that had Marcus Callender playing Dr. Dre was inaccurate, according to The Wrap.

Now, via The Playlist, we get our first look at the cast, who appear alongside the real Ice Cube and Dr. Dre and director F. Gary Gray in the above promo photo. (Eazy-E, of course, died in 1995.) It’s still unclear who will play N.W.A.’s three other principal members, DJ Yella, MC Ren, and Arabian Prince.

According to a plot synopsis, the film, titled Straight Outta Compton, “tells the astonishing story of how these youngsters revolutionized music and pop culture forever the moment they told the world the truth about life in the hood and ignited a cultural war.” It’s set to hit theaters on August 14th, 2015. Dr. Dre and Ice Cube both serve as executive producers.
