Cold War Kids announce new album, share “All This Could Be Yours”

Just last week Cold War Kids frontman Nathan Willett and bassist Matt Maust released the debut LP from their side-project French Style Furs. However, that doesn’t mean they’ve neglected their main gig. In October, Cold War Kids will release their fifth studio album via Downtown/Sony RED. It serves as the follow-up to 2013’s Dear Miss Lonelyhearts.

“All This Could Be Yours” is the first preview of the as-yet-untitled LP. As is the case with most Cold War Kids songs, Willett’s piercing cry rises above the striking piano chords and booming alt-rock guitars. While this is hardly a new direction for the band that broke out with 2006’s “Hang Me Up To Dry”, “All This Could Be Yours” shows a group playing to its strengths, making an accessible, radio-ready banger.

In related news, the band has announced initial tour dates behind the new LP. Check out the full schedule below.
