Back in April, Foxygen announced that they were nearly finished with their new studio album, the follow-up to last year’s breakout, We Are the 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace and Magic. With a supporting American tour set to begin later this week, the band has now revealed the full details of the LP. Entitled …And Star Power, the 24-track effort will be released on October 14th via Jagjaguwar.

As Pitchfork points out, the band has released a promotional image, which describes the album as such: “A svelte 82-minute run time of psych-ward folk, cartoon fantasia, soft-rock indulgences, D&D doomrock and paranoid bathroom stompers. A cinematic auditory adventure for speedy freaks, skull krunchers, abductees and misfits.” The album also apparently features “a gaggle of guest stars.”

In anticipation, the band has shared “How Can You Really”, a whimsical and peppy folk-pop number lined with jangly piano chords and the occasional bellow of a brassy instrument. In its fun corresponding music video, directed by Grant Singer, frontman Sam France tries his hand at an office job.
