On October 7th, Wisconsin outfit Field Report return with their sophomore album, Marigolden, through Partisan Records. The new LP finds Chris Porterfield & Co. expanding on the sparse folk rock of their 2012 self-titled debut, dabbling more with electronics and ambient arrangements.
In anticipation, the band’s shared “Wings”, a gloomy number awash in ominous, flickering synths. According to Porterfield, “It uses altitude as a metaphor for strength of belief in a reckless higher pursuit.”
