Listen: Whirr’s thunderous new song “Heavy”

When he’s not playing in noise rock group Nothing, former Deafheaven member Nick Bassett likes to churn out fuzz-soaked shoegaze in the band Whirr. Case in point: “Heavy”, the latest song off Whirr’s forthcoming album, Sway.

Thick, thunderous, and sizzling with reverb, the track sounds like an amalgamation of the aforementioned bands with some My Bloody Valentine gloom thrown in for good measure. Listen in below (via SPIN).
