Lockn’ Music Festival is a haven for jam-band aficionados in the South. After a successful inaugural season last year, the four-day event will return to Arrington, Virginia’s Oak Ridge Farm this September 4th-7th, and it’s bringing another unbelievable lineup.
The headlining sets alone are enough to get any music fan excited: Further, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, The Allman Brothers Band playing their At the Fillmore East live album and other hits, and a Kool & The Gang tribute with The String Cheese Incident with Kool frontman JT Taylor and The Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Yeah, those things are happening. Oh, and Widespread Panic is playing with Steve Winwood in addition to their own set; Phil Lesh is doing two sets with Warren Haynes, John Scofield, John Medeski and Joe Russo; The String Cheese Incident will have two other sets; and Wilco is playing Saturday and Sunday.
Umphrey’s McGee, Willie Nelson, Gary Clark Jr, Drive-By Truckets, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals – they’ll all be there. You can be too, because we’re giving away a pair of four-day passes for you and a buddy to jam your friggin’ faces off.
