Back in 2012, a mysterious production duo by the name of BenZel made their debut with “If You Love Me”, a gorgeous update on the ’90s Brownstone original, done in collaboration with the then-emerging British songstress Jessie Ware. Two years later, following a few one-off remixes and singles — including a Chance The Rapper tune — the pair just recently revealed their true identities: producers Benny Blanco (Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj) and Ben Ash, aka Two Inch Punch (Sam Smith, Portugal. The Man).

In addition to helping produce Ware’s forthcoming sophomore album, Tough Love, BenZel have their sights set on their very own debut EP: Entitled MEN, it’s due out later this fall via PMR Records/Friends Keep Secrets. In anticipation, BenZel has let loose “Wasted Love”, a soulful electropop number featuring vocals from London singer Stevie Neale.
