As previously reported, Thurston Moore has reunited with Sonic Youth drummer Steve Shelley, along with My Bloody Valentine bassist Debbie Googe and UK musician James Sedwards, to form the aptly dubbed Thurston Moore Band. Last night, the foursome made their live debut playing a secret show at Cafe OTO in London. Below, watch their performance of Moore’s latest single, “Detonation”.
The Thurston Moore Band will spend the next month touring Europe before coming to America for a string of festival shows and dates alongside Sebadoh. Shelley, Googe, and Sedwards are also set to appear on Moore’s forthcoming studio album, due out later this year via Matador Records.
