Foo Fighters to perform five nights in a row on Letterman with special guests

    Next week’s Late Show with David Letterman will be heavy on Foo Fighters, as Dave Grohl and co. are confirmed to serve as musical guests for the entire week of episodes. The five-night stint comes in support of the band’s forthcoming album, Sonic Highways, and accompanying HBO mini-series of the same name.

    According to a press release, each Letterman performance will see the band accompanied by an as-yet-unannounced special guest, some of whom inspired Sonic Highways and/or appear on the album. In addition, Grohl will sit down for a chat with Letterman on Monday, October 13th’s episode.

    Sonic Highways arrives November 10th via Roswell Records, while the first episode of the band’s HBO series premieres October 17th.
