Though the album’s been available for free download since Friday, Run the Jewels (aka El-P and Killer Mike) officially release RTJ2 today via iTunes. In addition to the album’s 11 tracks, all digital purchases include a bonus track, the “sequel” to lead single “Blockbuster Night” featuring frequent RTJ buddies/collaborators Despot and Wiki.

Aesthetically, part two is just as minimalist and menacing as its counterpart, albeit in a way that’s slightly more bizarre and nuanced thanks to blasts of wubby bass and random turntable chatter. Even with the addition of two more MCs into the mix, “Blockbuster Night Pt. 2” is a rather efficient cut, with each rapper a cog in a machine that spits out cutting insults and head-shrinking wordplay.

In related news, Run the Jewels have announced a worldwide art project called Tag the Jewels, in which 30 street artists painted their interpretation of the RTJ logo on walls the world over. Check out the submissions here.

So, now there’s Run the Jewels, Meow the Jewels, and Tag the Jewels. Maybe Taco the Jewels next?
