For this year’s Bridge School Benefit Concert, Neil Young booked both Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, opening the door for a reunion of short-lived grunge supergroup Temple of the Dog. Right on cue, Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell joined his former bandmates in Pearl Jam to perform the Temple of the Dog classic “Hunger Strike”. It marked only their fourth performance together since 1991 — the band last reunited during Pearl Jam’s 20th anniversary music festival in 2012.
