With less than a month to go before the release of her sophomore album, Sucker, Charli XCX has shared another single. Co-written by Patrik Berger (Robyn, Icona Pop), “Gold Chains” exemplifies some of the more prominent elements of her past singles. It’s grand and romantic like “Boom Clap”; has a similarly bombastic and infectious chorus as “Break the Rules”; and offers the same pop punk crunch of “London Queen”. Yet it exists in a galaxy all its own, a new wave dance jam heavy on feedback, oodles of sass, and endless celebratory vibes. Listen in below.
