Eminem has released the video for his Sia-featuring single “Guts Over Fear”. Directed by Syndrome, the same creative force behind the MC’s visuals for “Berzerk” and “3 a.m.”, the clip follows a Detroit man’s tale of triumph, as he overcomes financial hardship, family dysfunction, and more, to become a prize-winning boxer. Drawing a parallel between the protagonist and Em’s own rags-to-riches story, it’s a moving narrative about the power of persistence and passion. Watch it below.
“Guts Over Fear” is the lead single to Eminem’s new career-spanning anthology Shady XV. Celebrating 15 years of Shady Records, the two-disc album features one disc of greatest hits and another of new tracks by Shady artists including Slaughterhouse, Yelawolf, D-12, and Eminem and Royce da 5’9″‘s group, Bad Meets Evil. “Detroit Vs. Everybody” features Royce and Em alongside Big Sean, Danny Brown, DeJ Loaf, and Trick Trick. To ease the wait until Shady XV‘s November 24th release date, Eminem teamed with DJ Whoo Kid to release a 66-track mixtape called Shady Classics, which you can listen to now.
