We haven’t heard much from Glen Hansard this year, but it looks as though he’s poised to make his return in 2015: The Irish troubadour has just announced a unique, intimate US tour for February.
According to a press release, the singer-songwriter “will be performing songs from throughout his career” — a rich repertoire which includes his work on the highly-acclaimed Once musical and movie, his time spent in the folks outfits The Frames and The Swell Season, and his own solo releases. Joining Hansard will be musicians who contributed to his 2012 album, Rhythm & Repose, such as bass player Brad Albetta (Martha and Rufus Wainwright), keyboardist Thomas Bartlett (Doveman, The National), and string musician Rob Moose (yMusic Ensemble, Bon Iver).
The two-week jaunt officially kicks off on February 2nd in Birmingham, Alabama. Consult the full itinerary below.
