On November 24th, Sub Pop Records will reissue the debut album from James Mercer’s pre-Shins band Flake Music. In anticipation,You Land Here, It’s Time to Return is streaming in full via NPR.org.

The 12-track album originally saw a limited release in 1997 through Omnibus Records. For the reissue, Mercer enlisted Broken Bells collaborator Kennie Takahashi to mix the album and J.J. Golden (La Sera, Charles Bradley) for the remaster. The reissue also features newly updated artwork.

“So cool to hear this record now with a proper mix,” Mercer recently told Rolling Stone. “We worked hard on these songs and finally we feel like they’ve been fully realized. Bask in the Nineties glow of our summers passed.”
