It was almost a year ago exactly that we pegged Luki Eck$ as one of the Chicago rappers posed to next make the Chance the Rapper leap. Now, he’s getting a bump from his fellow Chi-town flow-maker as Chance produces and guests on his new cut “Stevie Wonder”.
With Young Chop, Plu2o Nash, and Chance’s band The Social Experiment helping on production, the track is a slow drag, a tripping shamble of clockwork percussion, shuffling sound effects, and a heartbeat bass. Chance’s hallmark yelp punctuates the track throughout before he takes on the second verse. Take a listen below.
