Panda Bear (aka Animal Collective’s Noah Lennox) will release his latest solo effort, Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper, on January 15th. Though he’s played many of the new songs live, the only studio track to surface thus far has been “Mr Noah”. Now, he’s released the LP’s second single in video form with “Boys Latin”.

Directed by Isaiah Saxon and Sean Hellfritsch from Encyclopedia Pictura, the video was first premiered on Adult Swim in the early morning hours of Monday, and it’s easy to see why. The psychedelic set of visuals would undoubtedly stimulate Adult Swim’s target demo of Cheeto-loving twentysomethings in a state of alternate reality (us included). Watch below.

Saxon said in a statement, “We tried hard to bring out the vibe of that alternating melody that Noah is singing. We wondered what that should look and feel like from a synesthesia perspective. We’ve always believed that shapes and forms themselves have emotional meaning. For example, round things are often cute and non-threatening, while spiky things usually seem dangerous. We ran with that idea by creating these dynamic forms that grow out of our characters as they deal with their emotions.”
