In the past, we’ve turned back the hands of time to see a 10-year-old Kanye West living in China and to hear a 12-year-old Lorde covering Kings of Leon’s “Use Somebody”. Heck, we even dug up throwback photos of all your favorite acts, like Radiohead, Beyoncé, Nine Inch Nails, Modest Mouse, Beck, and Arctic Monkeys, among others.
Now, thanks to Reddit (via Stereogum), another gem has been unearthed from the musical archives: an 11-year-old Björk adorably recounting the nativity story on Icelandic television. Although the 1976 clip is entirely in Icelandic, thus making it a tad bit difficult to understand, it’s definitely worth a gander for baby Björk’s angelic face and a haircut I’ve always dreamed of pulling off. Björk’s accompanied by equally lovely music, too, provided by students from the Children’s Music School of Reykjavik. It’s all so cute I want to pluck her from the screen and place her on top of the family Christmas tree.

In related news, Björk’s next release comes with Archives, a retrospective book featuring essays and portraits. Due out sometime next spring, it’ll coincide with the MoMA’s massive exhibition on the Icelandic singer.
