Minneapolis hip-hop collective Doomtree will release its third album, All Hands, on January 27th via Doomtree Records. In anticipation, you can stream it in full at Pandora.
While working on the follow-up to 2011’s No Kings, the band members isolated themselves in a cabin without cellphone reception. A press release explains the album’s title derives from the term “all hands on deck,” and calls it “the most collaborative and cohesive project the crew has yet produced.” It goes on to describe the album as “building the raw and epic soundscapes that the group has become well-known for while adding more of-the-moment musical elements and techniques for a genre-spanning effect.”
The album is preceded by a trio of singles in “.38 Airweight”, “Gray Duck” and “Final Boss”. Pre-orders are ongoing.
