Chicago rappers ProbCause and Hologram Kizzie, aka Psalm One, have made waves in the local underground scene with their abstract approach to hip-hop. The pair has worked together on a few different occasions since early 2008, most notably trading bars on ProbCause’s The Recipe Volume 2 and Kizzie’s Hug Life. Now, they’re officially teaming up for a collaborative effort under the name ZRO FOX. The duo’s self-titled debut EP is streaming in full below.

The five-track effort hears the two rappers exchange rapid-fire verses over experimental beats produced by fellow Chicago natives Wes P and Drew Mantia. Opener “Might Not” draws influence from trap beats but with more of an EDM tinge. Elsewhere, “Pheaunee Heaux” finds the duo taking on a more mainstream sound, with synthesizer samples and chants like, “Everything’s better when you’re ridin’ with your clan.” Though its a slightly compact affair, the EP offers plenty of thought-provoking rhymes and intense production for fans of alt-leaning hip-hop.

ZRO FOX Tracklist
01. Might Not (feat. Sasha Go Hard)
02. Go Pro
03. Running From The Trap
