On May 5th, Best Coast will return with their third full-length, California Nights, through Harvest Records. Today, the band has shared more details of the album, including its album artwork and tracklist, and is also streaming the title track.
Although the Los Angeles outfit’s been known more for its laid-back, sun-baked surf pop, “California Nights” is a decidedly bolder, more scorching beast. Highlighted by red-hot, shoegaze-inspired guitars and Bethany Cosentino’s spectral vocals, it’s Best Coast’s first new song in over a year and easily well-worth the wait.
