    With his latest album I Love You, Honeybear, bearded crooner J. Tillman, aka Father John Misty, delivers an unblinking and rather complex narrative surrounding the perils of modern day romance. What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day, then, by covering another equally unlikely love son: Nirvana’s 1993 classic “Heart-Shaped Box”. Recorded during a recent session for Sirius XMU, Tillman re-configures the tune as an earnest and unabashedly vulnerable folk ballad, working to amp up all that inherent angst and forlorn.
