My Bloody Valentine frontman Kevin Shields has joined forces with French outfit Le Volume Courbe for a new single titled “The House”. Shields previously produced LCV’s 2005 debut, I Killed My Best Friend, an alluring LP deeply indebted to the moody dream pop of MBV, Mazzy Star, and CocoRosie, among others. This time around, their collaboration has much more of an orchestral bent to it, as Shields’ shimmery guitar leads the way into a lush medley of folksy horns, gentle tinges of hazy ambiance, and Kewpie doll vocals.

Listen in below. The singled, backed by “Monte Dans Mon Ambulance”, is due out February 24th via Ring the Alarm.
