On April 14th, New York art rockers Ava Luna will release their new album, Infinite House. Due out through Western Vinyl, the self-produced 11-track effort was recorded in Mississippi and New York and mixed by Dave Fridmann (Tame Impala, Mercury Rev). In anticipation, the band has shared “Coat Of Shellac”.
Not unlike previous LP offering “Billz”, this new track is an exercise in amorphous soul rock. Lead singer Felicia Douglass’s plush croon pops with color and panache, while rubbery riffs bend to form svelte arrangements that seem to pay homage to Motown’s golden era. Check it out below via its eye-catching lyric video.
